Since 2002, Sandra and Lukas, the second generation, have successfully run the estate, the third generation is already in the starting blocks. The family business is located in the largest independent wine-growing village in the canton of Aargau. Tegerfelden is part of the Lower Aare Valley wine-growing region and is geographically located between the Aare and the Rhine in Zurzibiet. Ten grape varieties are cultivated on about 12 hectares of vineyards in five communities, carefully adapted to the different soils. As independent winegrowers, each wine is produced exclusively from the estate's own vineyards.
Young winemaker Noel Baumgartner gained his first professional experience in New Zealand in 2016/17. Inspired by the new wine world, he created this modern red wine. The Maori label, designed by New Zealand tattoo artist Greg Ashwell, embodies the "growing up" of winemaker and vine as well as the spirit of the wine in a multi-layered way. A wine for the young and the young at heart. Kia hari, kia koa - much pleasure and joy.
